Bare Ground Clear Way potassium acetate provides fast and reliable anti-icing and deicing performance with a low freeze point of -4°F, making it ideal for environmentally sensitive areas. It contains no damaging chlorides, glycols, or methanols, is completely water soluble, readily biodegradable, non-flammable, and safer for bridges and roadway surfaces. Clear Way potassium acetate meets FAA specifications and is suitable for application on pavements, including runways, taxiways, and bridge surfaces. Potassium acetate is generally applied undiluted using existing spray equipment capable of uniformly distributing the liquid. The recommended application rate is 0.5 gallons per 1000 ft² of surface area, with higher rates up to 1.5 gallons per 1000 ft² permissible as experience dictates. Low spray pressures producing large droplet sizes are preferred for effective application.
