The Whirlpool through-the-wall air conditioner is designed as a permanent cooling solution compatible with standard wall sleeves, with new wall sleeves sold separately. This 10,000 BTU model efficiently cools rooms up to 450 square feet and provides dehumidification at a rate of up to 1.2 pints per hour. It operates on a special 230-volt/20-amp electrical outlet and is not compatible with a standard 115V outlet. The unit features multiple operating modes including cool, dry, fan, and auto, along with a programmable 24-hour timer for customized start and stop times. It offers three cooling speeds, an ECO function to reduce energy consumption, an automatic restart after power failure, and 8-way directional air louvers for adjustable airflow. Maintenance is simplified with a removable and washable air filter accompanied by a clean filter alert. Electronic on-board controls are supplemented by a convenient remote control for easy adjustments. The product is UL listed and comes with a universal interior trim kit for existing standard wall sleeves.
