Featuring a powerful 12 volt DC motor protected by and mounted with corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the S80-12010 electric spreader is designed for efficient job performance and protection against hazards. The motor is mounted outside the large hopper, which offers a true 120 lb. capacity to reduce the frequency of refills. This spreader includes a variable speed control conveniently located within arm's reach, allowing adjustment of the spread swath up to 16 feet. The hopper gate control operates via a foot pedal when mounted on a zero-turn-radius mower, or alternatively, an optional 8-foot cable can be used for gate control on an ATV or UTV. Wiring lengths include 160 inches (13.3 feet) between the variable speed controller and motor, and 80 inches (6.7 feet) between the controller and battery. The kit features all-season spreading capabilities suitable for seed, fertilizer, lime, and ice melt, with a corrosion-resistant stainless steel frame and weather-proof connectors, plus integrated attachment points for mounting. Spyker’s AccuWay™ adjustment technology enables balanced spread patterns by controlling the forward or backward flow of material off the spinner/fan. The spreader is equipped with fully enclosed all-metal gears that come with a lifetime warranty and include greaseable zerk fittings on the gearbox and axle; ball bearings reduce friction for easier pushing.
