This ratchet features a 3/8 inch drive on a 1/4 inch drive body, utilizing the same body as the 1/4 inch drive x 3 inch ratchet to provide the access and agility of a smaller handle and ratchet head with a 3/8 inch drive. It performs like a 1/4 inch ratchet and meets 1/4 inch ratchet proof torque standards. The ratchet head is smaller than standard 3/8 inch drive ratchets to improve access to tight spaces. It has a 90-tooth fine-tooth gear requiring only a 4-degree swing arc, and the single half-moon pawl maintains nine teeth engaged with the gear at all times, preventing slipping or skipping under stress. The sleek, comfortable handle includes pronounced finger groove edges for traction and control with any finger placement, and a rounded pommel at the end to prevent the hand from slipping and to increase comfort. The working handle length is measured from the center of the drive tang to the end of the handle.
