The exterior finish is chrome-plated, and the interior is chrome-plated with a supplemental clear coat or painted finish where necessary for full coverage. The 6-point socket opening offers an exact fit and maximum contact for hex fasteners, and radiused corners prevent fastener round-off by applying force to the fastener's flat sides rather than its corners. Secure drive tool engagement is ensured by detent grooves and beveled edges, providing a smooth and secure connection with the drive tool.
