The kit includes TEKTON T-handle hex keys featuring a comfortable, versatile handle design with a large, contoured shape to fit the hand and allow comfortable spinning and torque application from various positions. The hex key geometry is precisely manufactured on the large end of the applicable range to ensure a tight fit with fasteners and reduce slop. Tolerances are controlled by measuring both point-to-point and side-to-side dimensions for high accuracy and consistency. The keys have a 20° ball angle to increase access to fasteners while maintaining strength, and they feature refined edges with slightly chamfered sides—except for sizes 2 mm and 5/64 in.—and a smooth top face to optimize engagement. Made with a molded handle and steel key similar to L-keys but enhanced for easier torque application, the keys are coated with a durable manganese phosphate finish that resists corrosion, tested by submersion in a 1% saltwater solution for 45 hours after oil removal with isopropyl alcohol, followed by rinsing and air drying. Clear markings include three types—high-visibility laser, stamped, and painted inset markings—except on the smallest sizes to ensure size identification remains visible. The package features an easy-to-use custom T-handle stand that guides each key into its slot with slots matched to hex geometry, quick size identification, and three holes on the bottom to mount the stand to a benchtop. The stand is constructed from 18 gauge steel. The tools come with a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
