The TEKTON T-handle hex key set features a comfortable and versatile handle design with a large, contoured shape to fit the hand, enabling easy spinning and torque application from various positions. The hex key geometry is precisely manufactured on the large end of the applicable range to ensure a tight fit with fasteners and reduce slop. The keys undergo two measures of tolerance control, point-to-point and side-to-side, for high dimensional accuracy and consistency. The keys have refined edges with slightly chamfered corners (except for the 2 mm and 5/64 in. sizes which are too small to chamfer) and a smooth top face to optimize fastener engagement. Each T-handle key is made with a molded handle and steel key, improving torque application comfort. They feature a corrosion-resistant manganese phosphate finish tested by submersion in a 1% saltwater solution for 45 hours after isopropyl alcohol cleaning, followed by rinsing and air drying. Sizes are clearly marked with high-visibility laser marking, stamped marking, and durable painted inset markings (except for the smallest sizes). The set includes an easy-to-use 18 gauge steel custom key stand with slots matched to the hex geometry, quick size identification, and three mounting holes for bench top attachment.
