The kit features a comfortable, versatile handle design with a large, contoured shape that fits the hand for comfortable spinning and torque application from various positions. The hex key geometry is precisely manufactured on the large end of the applicable range to ensure a tight fit with fasteners and reduce slop. Tolerances are controlled in two ways—point-to-point and side-to-side—to maintain high dimensional accuracy and consistency. A 20° ball angle increases access to fasteners while maintaining strength. The keys have refined edges with slightly chamfered sides (except 2 mm and 5/64 in. sizes) and smooth top faces for optimal engagement. Each T-handle key consists of a steel key and a molded handle for easier torque application. The keys have a corrosion-resistant manganese phosphate finish, tested by wiping with isopropyl alcohol and submerging in a 1% saltwater solution for 45 hours, then rinsed and air dried. Clear markings are provided through laser, stamped, and painted inset markings, except on the smallest sizes. The kit includes an easy-to-use, custom 18-gauge steel key stand with slots matched to hex geometry for quick size identification, designed to guide keys into place and featuring three holes for benchtop mounting.
