The L-keys are made from 8660 nickel chromium molybdenum steel heat-treated to 54-58 HRC, providing maximum torque strength that exceeds ASME minimum torsion load and ISO minimum proof torque standards. They have a corrosion-resistant manganese phosphate finish tested by submersion in a 1% saltwater solution for 45 hours after wiping with isopropyl alcohol. Sizes are clearly marked with both high-visibility laser and stamped markings, except for the smallest sizes. The holder organizes L-keys facing forward for quick access or to the side for a low-profile organization and features self-aligning slots uniquely shaped to guide each key head into alignment.
