The 10-piece 1/2 inch drive shallow external star socket set features sockets in sizes E8, E10, E11, E12, E14, E16, E18, E20, E22, and E24, each designed with an external star geometry characterized by a shallow external star (E-Star) socket having an internal 6-lobe geometry for a high-torque fit that resists slipping. The sockets are manufactured from 50BV30 steel and hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 40-47 HRC, ensuring strength and durability. Both the exterior and interior finishes include a chrome-plated exterior that is highly corrosion-resistant and wipes clean to a mirror finish, while the interior chrome plating is supplemented with a clear coat or painted finish where needed for full coverage. The sockets feature large, stamped markings permanently impressed by a roll-stamp die, maximizing readability along the socket's curved surface, and secure drive tool engagement is ensured through detent grooves and beveled edges providing a smooth, secure connection. The set includes a socket rail for organization.
