The 12-piece 3/8 inch drive shallow external star (E-Star) socket kit includes sockets sized E4, E5, E6, E7, E8, E10, E11, E12, E14, E16, E18, and E20. These sockets feature an internal 6-lobe geometry designed for a high-torque fit that resists slipping. Each socket is manufactured from 50BV30 steel and hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 40 to 47 HRC for strength and durability. The sockets are chrome plated on the exterior to provide high corrosion resistance and a mirror-like finish, while the interior has chrome plating supplemented with a clear coat or painted finish for full coverage. Large, permanently impressed roll-stamped markings are present on the curved surface for easy readability. Detent grooves and beveled edges ensure a smooth and secure connection with the drive tool.
