The Baldor-Reliance motor is a .5 HP, 1725 RPM, single-phase, 60 Hz motor designed for robustness and durability, featuring a 48 YZ frame and 3421 L model designation with a totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) design. The motor includes a mechanical protection feature for the centrifugal switch to prevent damage in case of overspeed and comes with manual reset thermal protection mounted in an oversized conduit box. Its construction features farm duty epoxy paint and a thermal cover to protect the motor from harsh environments. Additionally, it has an extended shaft at the fan end, equipped with wrench flats for manual jogging of an auger, and a NEMA 56N flange that facilitates connection to the drive or gearbox assembly.
