The kit includes 12 pieces of 1 1/4 inch Phillips flat full body 2/3 thread wood screws, finished in black oxide and oil. These wood screws are designed to produce a mating thread when assembled into wood or other resilient materials. The flat head design is utilized when protrusion of the fastener above the mating surface is unacceptable, typically featuring a 100-degree flat head or an 82-degree flat head for fastening softer materials.
