The kit includes 4x 3/8" #3 HD Phillips truss high low screws, which are fully threaded and finished with a zinc bake for enhanced durability. These screws feature a high-low thread design specifically engineered for use in plastic, nylon, wood, or other low-density materials. This unique thread design reduces driving torques, enhances resistance to thread stripping, improves pullout strength, and minimizes the risk of cracking the workpiece. While truss head screws are generally weaker than pan or round heads, they are preferred in applications with minimal clearance above the head. The modified truss heads provide low clearance and an extra-large bearing surface, making these screws commonly used for attaching metal lathe to metal studs.
