IgliDE® clip bearings are specifically engineered for the installation of shafts through sheet metal plates, featuring flanges at both ends for secure placement in the sheet metal after installation. Designed with a lateral slit that enables one-sided installation, these bearings expand post-installation to create a lining for the bore hole. The shaft effectively prevents detachment of the clip bearing from the housing, ensuring stability even during axial movement. Additionally, the lateral slit accommodates expansions due to temperature or moisture changes, minimizing bearing clearance as the slit width decreases. The bearings are constructed from iglide® M250 material, designed for sheet metal thicknesses ranging from .040 to .135 inches (2mm, 3mm, and 4mm). Key attributes include a double-flange design, customizable dimensions, lightweight construction, maintenance-free operation, self-lubrication, good wear resistance, and suitability for both rotational and linear movements.
