Iglide® clip bearings are specifically engineered for integrating shafts through sheet metal plates, featuring flanges at both ends to ensure secure installation on both sides after the bearings are positioned. The bearings are designed with an angled slit, allowing for installation from a single side, and once installed, they expand to create a lining for the bore hole in the metal plate. The shaft’s presence prevents detachment from the housing, even during axial movement, while the lateral slit accommodates bearing expansion caused by temperature or moisture changes, minimizing bearing clearance as the slit width decreases. The smaller side flange diameter is optimized to secure housings with larger tolerances effectively. Key specifications include suitability for sheet metal thicknesses ranging from .040 to .135 inches (2mm, 3mm, and 4mm), and the bearings are composed of Iglide® M250 material.
