IgliDe® clip bearings are specifically designed for the installation of shafts through sheet metal plates, featuring flanges on both ends for secure positioning in the metal plate. The unique angled slit allows for one-sided installation, after which the bearing opens to form a lining for the bore hole, ensuring that the shaft keeps the clip bearing securely attached to the housing even during axial movement. Additionally, the lateral slit compensates for bearing expansions caused by temperature or moisture, reducing the width of the slit to minimize bearing clearance. The double-flange design ensures secure fastening in housings with larger tolerances. The bearings are lightweight, maintenance-free, self-lubricating, and exhibit good wear resistance and smooth operation, making them suitable for both rotational and linear movements. They are designed for sheet metal thicknesses ranging from .040 to .135 inches (2mm, 3mm, and 4mm) and are made from IgliDe® M250 material. Custom dimensions are also possible, allowing for tailored applications.
