Igus® clip bearings are specifically engineered for the insertion of shafts through sheet metal plates, featuring flanges located on both ends to secure them in place after installation. Designed with an angled slit for single-sided installation, the bearings open upon installation, providing a lining for the bore hole in the metal plate, while the shaft ensures the bearing remains secured within the housing even during axial movement. The lateral slit design allows for compensation of bearing expansions due to temperature or moisture, minimizing bearing clearance during expansion. The smaller side's flange diameter accommodates housings with larger tolerances, while the bearings offer a double-flange design, custom dimensions, lightweight construction, maintenance-free and self-lubricating operation, good wear resistance, and smooth functionality suitable for both rotational and linear movements. These bearings are compatible with sheet metal thicknesses of .040-.135 inches (2mm, 3mm, and 4mm) and are made from iglide® M250 material.
