The drylin® N series offers extremely low profiles in several widths, making it ideal for tight space constraints. The carriages are designed to glide smoothly on anodized aluminum rails without the need for messy lubricants and are available in preloaded versions for reduced running clearance. This series is a particularly low-cost alternative to miniature ball bearing systems and provides more precision and economy compared to many custom-machined or simple plastic parts. Key features include small mounting height and width, maintenance-free operation, high resistance to dirt, corrosion resistance, low wear, and a low coefficient of friction. The lightweight design is achieved through an aluminum polymer combination, allowing for very high speeds and acceleration. The replaceable polymer sliding elements are made of iglide® J, while the base structure of the carriage is composed of plastic (size 17) or zinc, chromated (sizes 27, 40, and 80). Anodized aluminum rails are available from stock.
