Iglide® clip bearings are engineered specifically for the insertion of shafts through sheet metal plates, featuring flanges on both ends to secure the bearings to the sheet metal after installation. These clip bearings are designed with an angled slit that allows for one-sided installation, after which the bearing expands to form a lining for the bore hole in the metal plate. The shaft's presence prevents the clip bearing from detaching, ensuring it remains secured even during axial movement. Additionally, the lateral slit accommodates bearing expansions caused by temperature or moisture, minimizing bearing clearance as the slit width decreases during expansion. The flange diameter on the smaller side is tailored to ensure compatibility with housings that have larger tolerances. The bearings are secured with a double-flange design, are lightweight, maintenance-free, and self-lubricating, offering excellent wear resistance and smooth operation. They are suitable for both rotational and linear movements and can accommodate sheet metal thicknesses ranging from .040 to .135 inches (2mm, 3mm, and 4mm). The material used for these bearings is Iglide® M250.
