The Baldor-Reliance DC control features a full wave SCR control with a free wheeling diode (NEMA type K) and operates on 230V with a power rating of 3 HP, designed for NEMA 4X environments. The kit includes a field power supply that allows compatibility with shunt wound DC motors and permanent magnet motors. Key features consist of adjustable acceleration and deceleration settings, current limit adjustments, IR compensation, and min/max speed controls, along with a current limit indicating LED and a 5K speed potentiometer for precise speed control. Additionally, it includes an anti-demag circuit to protect permanent magnet motors and to safeguard the SCR power bridge against direct shorts, along with a noise rejection circuit that prevents false starts and blown SCRs. This control is UL and CUL recognized, making it suitable for typical applications such as conveyors, mixers, packaging machinery, and other systems that require variable speed and constant torque.
