The Baldor-Reliance DC Control is designed for use with shunt wound DC motors and permanent magnet motors, accommodating a voltage range of 115/230V and power ratings from 1/4 to 2 HP. This rugged chassis includes a field power supply, adjustable acceleration, deceleration, current limit settings, IR compensation, and both minimum and maximum speed controls. The control features a current limit indicating LED and a 5K speed potentiometer for precise speed regulation. It is equipped with an anti-demagnetization circuit that safeguards permanent magnet motors while also protecting the SCR power bridge from direct shorts. Additionally, the control incorporates a noise rejection circuit to prevent false starts and blown SCRs. Typical applications for this control include conveyors, mixers, packaging machinery, and other systems that require variable speed and constant torque.
