The Baldor-Reliance DC Control is a DC SCR Regen Control system designed for use with shunt wound DC motors and permanent magnet motors, operating at 115/230V and suitable for 1/8-2 HP applications. The chassis includes a field power supply and features adjustable acceleration and deceleration, current limit settings, IR compensation, as well as minimum and maximum speed adjustments. An LED indicator for current limit is integrated into the design, along with a 5K speed potentiometer for precise speed control. The system is equipped with an anti-demagnetization circuit that protects permanent magnet motors while safeguarding the SCR power bridge against direct shorts, and a noise rejection circuit to prevent false starts and blown SCRs. Typical applications for this control system include conveyors, mixers, packaging machinery, and other operations requiring variable speed and constant torque.
