The Baldor-Reliance DC control is a DC SCR regen control system designed for 230V and 5 HP applications. This chassis features a field power supply that allows compatibility with both shunt wound DC motors and permanent magnet motors. It offers adjustable acceleration and deceleration, current limit settings, IR compensation, and minimum and maximum speed controls. The current limit is indicated by an LED, and a 5K speed potentiometer facilitates precise speed control. Additionally, the anti-demagnetization circuit protects permanent magnet motors and safeguards the SCR power bridge against direct shorts, while a noise rejection circuit prevents false starts and blown SCRs. This control is UL and CUL recognized, making it suitable for typical applications such as conveyors, mixers, packaging machinery, and other systems requiring variable speed and constant torque.
