The Securall® 34'W x 8'D x 8' 4H hazmat chemical storage building is designed to accommodate the storage of up to 64 drums of hazardous materials, specifically flammable liquids in 55-gallon drums. It features a double wall, welded construction with three airspaces for enhanced safety and structural integrity. The exterior walls are made of 12-gauge galvannealed steel, while the interior walls utilize 20-gauge cold roll steel. A 5' W x 6' 8H double door equipped with a UL classified commercial grade keyed lock set facilitates secure access. The building includes a 12-gauge steel sump, heavy gauge forklift channels with open-end construction, and four bolt-down plates with 7/8 diameter holes for wind and seismic bracing. It is designed with multiple static grounding connections and inlet vents for natural ventilation, incorporating fire dampers for fire-rated configurations. Hazard labeling features include a DOT placard holder and NFPA 704 rating signs, and the finish is a two-part chemical resistant aliphatic polyurethane. This storage building complies with NFPA code 30, is factory mutual approved, and includes UL listed accessories. The electrical system is installed in accordance with the NEC 2008 and 2011 editions. The type of building is determined by the material being stored, with special considerations for flammable liquids in class IA and IB categories, which require explosion relief designs. For locations exceeding 75 feet from a main building or property line, no fire rating is necessary, though local jurisdiction should be consulted for setback requirements.
