The Securall® 14'W x 8'D x 8' 4H Hazmat Chemical Storage Building is designed for the safe storage of flammable liquids, chemicals, and hazardous materials in 55-gallon drums, helping to ensure OSHA and EPA compliance. This storage building features double wall, welded construction with three airspace layers for enhanced insulation. The exterior walls are made of 12-gauge galvannealed steel, while the interior walls are constructed of 20-gauge cold roll steel. It includes a 5' W x 6' 8H double door equipped with a UL classified commercial-grade keyed lock set. The building is also outfitted with a 12-gauge steel sump, heavy gauge forklift channels with open-end construction, and four bolt-down plates with 7/8 diameter holes for wind and seismic bracing. Safety features include multiple static grounding connections, inlet vents for natural ventilation with fire dampers, hazard labeling with a DOT placard holder and NFPA 704 rating signs. The finish consists of a two-part chemical resistant aliphatic polyurethane, and the construction complies with NFPA Code 30, along with factory mutual approval and UL listed accessories. Electrical installations comply with NEC 2008 and 2011 editions. It is crucial to determine the appropriate type of building based on the materials being stored or dispensed, especially for flammable liquids in the Class IA and Class IB categories, which require explosion relief if stored in specific configurations. If located more than 75 feet from a main building or property line, no fire rating is necessary, although local authority requirements should be verified.
