The M9208 series electric spring return actuators are designed for controlling dampers in heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, offering a rated torque of 70 lb-in (8 Nm). These actuators utilize a mechanical spring return system to ensure rated torque is maintained, irrespective of power availability. The series features multiple control options, including on/off functionality with 24 V, 120 VAC, and 230 VAC power, as well as on/off and floating point control with 24 V power. For proportional control, it supports 0(2) to 10 VDC or 0(4) to 20 mA control signals using 24 V power. Designed for easy installation, these actuators can be mounted directly to damper shafts ranging from 5/16 to 5/8 in. (8 to 16 mm) in diameter using a universal clamp. For shafts up to 3/4 in. (19 mm) in diameter, the accessory large shaft coupler kit M9208-600 is available. Additionally, an accessory crankarm and remote mounting kit can be used when direct coupling to the damper shaft is impractical. Optional line voltage auxiliary switches are offered to indicate end-stop positions or perform switching functions within the actuator's selected rotation range.
