Ultra-Filter Socks® are designed to prevent harmful substances from entering the stormwater system and are suitable for use in various locations such as in front of storm drains, around downspouts, and in gullies or ditches. Each sock features a woven polymer casing that facilitates quick water passage while the internal filtration media effectively removes pollutants. The socks come in lengths of 9 feet and have a high UV rating to ensure extended durability against sun exposure and environmental elements. They can be overlapped for extended coverage, and multiple filter socks can be deployed to address different contaminants or larger quantities of single contaminants. The design includes looped ends for secure staking in place and ease of transport. A specialized heavy metal removal model incorporates custom filter media that targets the removal of zinc, lead, copper, and other harmful heavy metals, aiding compliance with SWPP regulations.
