Ultra-Filter Socks® are designed to prevent harmful substances from entering the stormwater system, making them ideal for use in front of storm drains, around downspouts, in gullies and ditches, or anywhere with potential harmful stormwater runoff. Each sock features a woven polymer casing that allows water to pass through quickly while filtration media within effectively removes pollutants. The socks are available in 9-foot lengths and possess a high UV rating for extended durability in sunlight and adverse weather conditions. Units can be overlapped for longer coverage, and multiple filter socks can be employed when dealing with various contaminants or large quantities of a single contaminant. Looped ends facilitate staking the units in place and assist with transport. The sediment removal model contains recycled rubber media, which provides additional weight to keep the unit stationary and allows for maximum water flow. These socks help ensure compliance with SWPP regulations, are classified as EcoSmart products, and are manufactured in the USA.
