The Ultra-Drain Guard® is engineered to filter stormwater waste before it becomes a problem in the water system. As a storm drain filter, it effectively removes contaminants such as litter, sand, and oil from stormwater flow. This product features a geotextile fabric and is designed for easy installation, making it suitable for use in industrial facilities, construction sites, and parking lots where stormwater runoff may carry oil, eroded soil, debris, and fuel contaminants from vehicles. Installation entails lifting the catch basin grating, inserting the Drain Guard into the opening, and replacing the grating while ensuring the fabric is pinched to hold the unit securely in place. The Ultra-Drain Guard exceeds 80% sediment removal efficiency and specifically the oil and sediment model can remove up to 0.87 gallons of hydrocarbons along with dirt, sand, and other pollutants. It also assists in compliance with regulations such as NPDES, SPCC, and TMDL.
