Ultra-Pipe Socks® are designed to control the flow of sediment and oil out of headwalls and various types of pipes. Engineered with UltraTech's Ultra-Filter-Tex®, this durable geo-textile filter media permits the passage of large volumes of water while effectively absorbing liquid hydrocarbons, including petroleum, animal and vegetable oils, and other liquid contaminants. The product is also applicable in pond scenarios where vertical pipes extend above the water surface, effectively preventing sediment inflow during high-water events. Ultra-Pipe Socks® are available in several standard and custom sizes, helping to ensure compliance with NPDES, 40 CFR 122.26 (1999) when utilized as best management practice within stormwater pollution prevention plans.
