The Ecco single acting spring hinge features a full mortise design and is constructed from steel, meeting ANSI K81071F specifications. It is designed for the automatic closing of doors, making it suitable for use in hotels, motels, institutions, and commercial buildings. This hinge is compatible with 1-3/4" (45 mm) doors and offers maximum versatility through the option of using all spring hinges or a combination of spring and ball bearing hinges; however, plain bearing hinges should not be used. It is important to note that full spring tension may not be necessary on all hinges, as factors such as strong wind conditions, drafts, carpeting drag, twisted or misaligned frames, and weatherstripping on doors may require the installation of additional spring hinges.
