The kit includes full mortise spring, single acting square corner hinge steel with steel components (ANSI K81071F). Designed for the automatic closing of doors, these single acting spring hinges meet the codes required for hotels, motels, institutions, and commercial buildings. The 1250 model is available with a raised barrel suitable for both straight and beveled doors and is approved for use on doors measuring 4' 0" x 8' 0" (1219 x 2438 mm). For maximum versatility, it is recommended to use either all spring hinges or a combination of spring and ball bearing hinges, while avoiding plain bearing hinges. It should be noted that full spring tension may not be necessary for all hinges; additional spring hinges may be required in response to strong wind conditions, drafts, carpeting drag, twisted or misaligned frames, or the presence of weatherstripping on doors.
