Raychem® Wintergard Wet® heat cable is a 250 ft. reel with a power output of 6 watts per foot at 120V, specifically designed for pipe freeze protection applications on metal or plastic pipes up to 6 inches in diameter, suitable for both wet and dry locations. Additionally, it can be utilized for roof and gutter de-icing applications. This product requires one of two available power connection kits: the H900 (#B49344) hardwire power connection, which includes an end seal for hardwiring directly into a junction box (not included), or the H908 (#B49346) plug-in power connection, featuring built-in ground fault protection and an end seal for plugging into a standard 120V three-prong grounded electrical outlet. It is important to note that compliance with the National Electrical Code is necessary, which mandates ground-fault protection of equipment to mitigate fire risks related to damage or improper installation, and all installations should adhere to applicable local codes and standards.
