The Jet® JTM-4VS milling machine with 203 DRO & X & Y & Z powerfeed is designed for precision cutting and shaping of metal and other materials. It is powered by a 3HP motor operating at 230/460V, 3PH, prewired for 230V use. The machine features durable Meehanite casting and includes a chrome-plated motor shaft with lower bearing support. Its large diameter quill is also chrome-plated, and it has a one-piece quill pinion and shaft. The milling head is precision bored and honed, equipped with high-precision Class 7 spindle bearings and an internally cooled spindle head. A heavy-duty splined motor drive and three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop enhance functionality. The machine includes locks on all movable surfaces, a heavy-duty spindle brake, and precision hardened and ground ways and table with adjustable gibs throughout. An internal coolant tank is built into the casting base for compatibility with a coolant system (coolant pump not included), and a one-shot lubrication system is also provided.
