The kit includes a tool wrap made of type 309, soft annealed, stainless steel, designed to protect against scale and oxide buildup during heat treating in atmospheric furnaces while eliminating decarburization buildup. This wrap is resistant to chromium carbide precipitation during exposure to high temperatures and can be used in furnaces up to 2240 degrees F. Its cut-to-fit foil creates an airtight envelope around parts, allowing for easy cutting, folding, and crease-sealing without tearing in normal use. The tool wrap provides the benefits of a vacuum furnace at a fraction of the cost and is packaged in a convenient, reclosable carton.
