The kit is made of type 321, soft annealed, stainless steel, and is designed to protect against scale and oxide buildup during heat treating in atmospheric furnaces while effectively eliminating decarburization buildup. It is resistant to chromium carbide precipitation when exposed to high temperatures and can be used in furnaces up to 2000 degrees F. The tool wrap serves to protect the surface of air hardening tool steels, creating an airtight envelope around the part with its cut-to-fit foil that can be easily cut, folded, and crease-sealed without tearing during normal use. The product offers the benefits of a vacuum furnace at a reduced cost and is packaged in a convenient, reclosable carton.
