The kit is made of type 309, soft annealed, stainless steel, designed to help protect from scale and oxide buildup during heat treating in atmospheric furnaces while eliminating decarburization buildup. It is resistant to chromium carbide precipitation during exposure to high temperatures and can be used in furnaces up to 2240 degrees F. The tool wrap protects the surface of air hardening tool steels and is a cut-to-fit foil that creates an airtight envelope around your part. This material can be cut, folded, and crease-sealed with ease, ensuring it will not tear easily in normal use. The product is packaged in a convenient, reclosable carton.
