The kit is made of type 321, soft annealed, stainless steel, designed to protect against scale and oxide buildup during heat treating in atmospheric furnaces, while eliminating decarburization buildup. It is resistant to chromium carbide precipitation when exposed to high temperatures and can withstand temperatures up to 2000 degrees F. The tool wrap provides surface protection for air hardening tool steels and creates an airtight envelope around the part, allowing for customization as it can be cut, folded, and crease-sealed easily. The material is durable and will not tear easily during normal use. The kit is packaged in a convenient, reclosable carton for ease of storage and access.
