The hopper automatically dumps when the bumper releases upon contacting the side of the dumpster and returns to an upright, locked position after dumping. It includes a four-foot cable that can be operated from the seat of the fork truck to manually dump the hopper and features a safety restraint to secure the hopper to the fork truck. The usable fork pockets measure 7" wide by 2" high. The hoppers are stackable when the top hopper is turned 90° from the bottom and rotate approximately 68°. The unit has a powder coat blue finish, and leak-proof hoppers are available as an option. This self-dumping hopper facilitates compliance with OSHA General Industry Rule 29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(iii), allowing lift truck operators to remain at the controls during dumping. OSHA requires contacting the fork truck manufacturer for written approval before using any fork truck attachments.
