The 2 cu. yd. self-dumping steel hopper with bump release D-200-MD has a capacity of 4000 lb. and automatically dumps when the bumper release contacts the side of the dumpster. After dumping, the hopper returns to an upright and locked position automatically. It includes a four-foot cable that can be operated from the seat of the fork truck to manually dump the hopper, and a safety restraint secures the hopper to the fork truck. The usable fork pockets measure 7"W x 2"H, and the unit rotates approximately 68°. It features a powder coat blue finish, and leak-proof hoppers are available upon request. This self-dumping hopper facilitates compliance with OSHA General Industry Rule 29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(iii) by allowing lift truck operators to remain at the controls throughout the dumping process. OSHA requires contacting the manufacturer of your fork truck for written approval to use any fork truck attachments.
