The 3 cu. yd. self-dumping steel hopper D-300-HD has a 6000 lb. capacity and automatically dumps when the bumper release contacts the side of the dumpster, returning to an upright and locked position after dumping. It includes a four-foot cable that allows manual dumping from the seat of the fork truck and a safety restraint to secure the hopper to the truck. The usable fork pockets measure 7"W x 2"H, and the unit rotates approximately 68°. It has a powder coat blue finish, and leak-proof hoppers are available upon request. This self-dumping hopper facilitates compliance with OSHA General Industry Rule 29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(iii) by enabling lift truck operators to remain at the controls throughout the dumping process. OSHA requires contacting the fork truck manufacturer for written approval before using any fork truck attachments.
