The 4-inch incandescent housing is designed for new construction, specifically for recessed incandescent applications in 2x8 and 2x6 settings. It is approved for direct burial in insulation and is compatible with all ceiling and wiring types. The housing is UL listed, meeting both U.S. and Canadian safety standards. Its construction includes an air-tight, galvanized steel pan paired with an aluminum can and junction box featuring four built-in Romex® clamps and a ground wire. It is rated for 90°C and comes equipped with factory-installed captive bar hangers that can span up to 24 inches on center, complete with a stepped shank nail and integral T-bar locks. Two locking screws ensure fixture position stability, while socket clips secure the trim to maintain proper and consistent lamp positioning. Additionally, it accommodates ceilings up to 1-1/2 inches thick.
