The emergency lighting exit sign is designed for general-purpose applications, featuring a UL listing and compliance with UL924 standards. It is suitable for damp locations within a temperature range of 50°F to 104°F (10°C to 40°C). The sign has a die-cast aluminum construction with a compact housing that includes a brushed aluminum faceplate and a matte black electrostatic polymeric trim. The clear lacquer finish on the brushed face helps inhibit fingerprints and other surface contaminants, and it is also available in white housing and face options. The design incorporates a fully overlapping light seal to prevent light leaks, with universal direction chevron knockouts that are concealed and easily removable. The unit provides provisions for conduit entry and pendant mounting, and it is backed by U.S. Patent No. 5,739,639, with other patents pending. It boasts an expected LED life of over 10 years, allows for universal mounting (top, end, or back), and features completely concealed, easily removable mounting knockouts and hole plugs with no exposed hardware. A die-cast aluminum canopy is included, and a faceplate accessory kit is available for converting from one face to two faces in the field. It supports dual-voltage input capabilities of 120 or 277 VAC, and the emergency models are equipped with a test switch, status indicator, and a maintenance-free, sealed nickel-cadmium battery that provides 90 minutes of emergency power when necessary; the battery automatically recharges when normal power is restored.
