The kit includes components designed to convert 56 through 256T frame stock TEFC motors into fail-safe brakemotors, with specific configurations for both steel and cast iron frame motors. For 56-184T steel frame motors, the kit features a totally enclosed Stearns AC brake, a replacement cast fan cover, a shaft extension, a fan, and necessary hardware. The kits for 213T-256T cast iron frame motors are tailored for use with the Stearns 87,000 series brake, although they do not include the brake itself. Each kit provides two 1/2" NPT holes with 18" leads for connections. Additionally, the installation of the brake kit results in an overall length increase of 5 1/8" for the 56 and 143-5T frames, and 5 7/8" for the 182-184T frames.
