The kit of components is designed to convert 56 through 256T frame stock TEFC motors into fail-safe brakemotors. It mounts on the fan end of the motor and includes a totally enclosed Stearns AC brake, replacement cast fan cover, shaft extension, fan, and hardware for 56-184T steel frame motors. For 213T-256T cast iron frame motors, the kit does not include the brake but is designed for use with Stearns 87,000 series brake. The kit provides two 1/2" NPT holes with 18" leads for electrical connections. Additionally, the brake kit adds 5 1/8" to the overall length of the 56 and 143-5T frames and 5 7/8" to the overall length of the 182-184T frames.
