The coupler brakes are a new and expanded line specifically designed for applications where mounting the brake between the motor and driven load is preferred or most convenient. These brakes serve as an excellent solution for applications requiring a brake addition to existing equipment without the need for motor replacement. Constructed from rugged cast aluminum or cast iron, Stearns brakes are suitable for most industrial applications. The coupler brakes are designed for C-face connection on both ends; however, they are not suitable for overhung loads applied to the output shaft.
