Our free standing jib cranes are designed for heavy duty, high productivity applications and are recognized as our most versatile cranes. They are suitable for placement underneath large bridge cranes, in open areas for multiple work stations, in outdoor applications like loading docks, or in machining and assembly operations where they can be overlapped with other jibs for staged operation. The cranes feature a boxed style head assembly that facilitates installation of the head prior to the boom, which reduces required installation clearances and maximizes hoist lift. This design also enhances stability compared to common sleeve-over-pipe designs, leading to less deflection. Equipped with precision tapered roller bearings, these cranes ensure smooth operation and longevity. Full supporting triangular baseplate gussets are employed instead of struts to further minimize deflection. The cranes include bolted movable trolley stops to limit trolley travel and are pre-engineered for use with powered hoists. The capacity is calculated with a factor of 15% allocated for hoist and trolley weight and an additional 25% for impact, thus allowing full rated capacity use of the jib.
