Our free standing jib cranes are designed for heavy duty, high productivity applications and offer versatility for various usage scenarios, such as placement under large bridge cranes, in open areas serving multiple workstations, at outdoor loading docks, or in machining and assembly operations where multiple jibs may overlap for staged operation. The kit features a boxed style head assembly that enables installation of the head prior to the boom, reducing required installation clearances and maximizing hoist lift while enhancing stability compared to common sleeve-over-pipe designs, resulting in minimal deflection. Precision tapered roller bearings ensure smooth operation and longevity, while full supporting triangular baseplate gussets are used instead of struts to further minimize deflection. The cranes include bolted movable trolley stops to limit trolley travel and are pre-engineered for use with powered hoists. A design capacity allows for 15% of the jib crane capacity to accommodate the hoist and trolley weight, with an additional 25% reserved for impact, providing full rated capacity use. The large baseplate and special chemical anchors that come with the jib eliminate the need for a foundation; however, templates and hoist trolley are not included.
