Our free standing jib cranes are designed for heavy duty, high productivity applications, making them one of the most versatile cranes available. They are suitable for placement underneath large bridge cranes, in open areas to serve multiple work stations, in outdoor applications such as loading docks, or in machining and assembly operations, where they can be overlapped with other jibs for staged operation. The kit includes a boxed style head assembly that allows for installation of the head prior to the boom, which reduces required installation clearances and maximizes hoist lift. The design increases stability compared to common sleeve-over-pipe models by minimizing deflection. It features precision tapered roller bearings for smooth operation and longer life, along with full supporting triangular baseplate gussets to further reduce deflection. The cranes are equipped with bolted movable trolley stops to limit trolley travel, and they are pre-engineered for use with powered hoists. A factor of 15% of the jib crane capacity is allocated for the hoist and trolley weight, with an additional 25% of the capacity reserved for impact, allowing for full rated capacity use of the jib. It is important to note that templates and hoist trolley are not included.
